We hope that you will enjoy singing with us.  We are a well established choir of nearly sixty members, divided into four sections - bass, baritone, second and first Tenors

We rehearse at the Angel Centre each Monday and Wednesday evening, between 7.30 and 9.30pm. [You should do your utmost to attend at least one rehearsal each week]. We rehearse in order to produce singing of the highest standard at our concerts, of which there are between twelve and fifteen each year. In addition, there can be one or two trips away when we sometimes sing with other choirs.

Our Librarian will issue you with a blue ring binder containing scores of the sheet music for most of the items in the repertoire. You will need to bring your music to each rehearsal, but as is traditional in male voice choirs, the performance in concerts is without music. However there is the odd occasion, at the discretion of the conductor, when scores will be allowed.

Within the first two weeks of rehearsals, and if you decide that the Worcester Male Voice Choir is for you, your singing range will be assessed.  This will be done in a short private session with our conductor, who, after approval, will place you in the most appropriate section which suits your range. All members are periodically assessed and if necessary reassigned to another section.

Before your singing range assessment you will be given an application form by the membership secretary for you to fill in and return for approval by the choir committee, which meets each month.  Membership commences from the date of the assessment

After approval you will be given a letter of acceptance which will tell you about subscription details, uniform and your allocated singing section.

Everybody is represented on the general committee by an elected member of their section. This        representative will make known to the general committee, views or comments from any member of his section.
