The choir was formed in 1987 and now has over fifty members.
Since it's formation it has gone from strength to strength and over the last few years and has performed in France, Germany, the Irish Republic and competitively in Cornwall. The choir has also made smaller tours, singing with local male voice and mixed choirs in Tenby and Nottingham.

At the end of May this year the choir made a highly successful and enjoyable visit to our twin town of Kleve, performing in three different venues. We also took part in the Centenary Concert of Steeton Male Voice Choir at St George's Hall, Bradford in April and in June we sang with the English Association of Male Voice Choirs at the newly refurbished Birmingham Town Hall. Our Annual Concert this year was held in Worcester Cathedral in October. For this we were joined by the soprano Elizabeth MacDonald, the organist Keith Hearnshaw and the well known midlands choir, Viva Musica.
The majority of the choir's performances are for charity and we have helped to raise well over £70,000 over the past few years. Also this year, we will be singing for the Madame Curie Great Daffodil Appeal and our traditional outdoor performances at the Worcester Christmas Fayre and in the Crowngate Shopping Centre, Worcester. Our Christmas Concert will be in Pershore Abbey on 6th December.

Nicolas Wright--musical director Nic was formerly our accompanist and assistant conductor and took on the post of musical director for the choir from Barry Jones at the end of 2006.
His astonishingly accurate ear is one of the huge benefits he brings to the choir. If any of the sections is not singing the written line, Nic notices and puts it right. His dry wit keeps everyone on their toes and his musical experience is a huge asset to the choir

Sheila Leatherland--Accompanist As a former music teacher, Sheila has been involved with the music scene for most of her life. She has been playing for choirs, mixed, male voice and school, for over 30 years and when she moved to Worcester with her husband Barry (now choir secretary and member of our bass section) we were quick to make use of her services.
Her cheery smile lights up even the darkest practice night!
